Hello l have a kx84 2004. l was taking back from the track with a trailer and 2 tie downs. When l got home to take it off alot of oil leaking out of the shocks and onto the trailor. l heard letting air out would help but no air came out. Also heard l have to buy a whole set of new shocks! is that true?

Your seals are blown, they need to be replaced.

yes, bad seals and you could loose control at some point and crash (Die even)

yes it is bad if you have a brake disk the oil can get on it no brake's,

not a big job just buy a new set of fork seals & fork oil,

you may get away withjust changing the oil as the leak occured on the trailer .if it leaks after that you need to change the fork seals cost about 100 bucks.40 seals 60 labour

yes fork oil will end up on brakes and we all know thats not cool

If you have front shocks that leak they must be replaced and cannot be rebuilt. However your bike should have a telescoping fork and not a leading link and therefore no shocks.
