Ok so l wanna buy this bike mainly on it is look is an how much nicer they looking then then the 500r an 600 but the only thing l dont like is the top speed? l heard of something called a jet kit? exactly what is that? does it eat up more gas? is it street legal in new york? or if that is not aloud what else can l do for more power if you have links thatd be amazing thank you

What is not to like about the top speed? It goes plenty fast enough to kill you. The carbs are jetted by people who know what they're doing so that the bike runs cleanly, smoothly and as fast as possible. For more power, get a bigger bike.

if you're a beginner stick to the ninja 250r!
that little bike does 115 miles per hour,fast enough to kill you in nyc especially.

l got a green Ninja 250r (2009 release) last week. It is a sweet learner is bike without modifications. (See avatar..lol)

People r modifying the exhaust (see Yoshi) & then retuning the carbies .. needing a jet kit. From what I've heard from other guys, it uses more fuel but in return u get more performance & a deeper note from the throat. It is a 250cc dude. l do not think the authorities r too concerned about the mods unless they have noise polution & carbon emmissions legislation in NY. In any case, the Kawasaki rider is forum will have dealt with the question 15,000 times by now.
