But l hear there not allow on the road - what do l need (licence wise) to be able to ride it on the road??

as far as l can tell it is illegal to ride on the pavement, and the only place you should really ride one is on private land.

So, as a form of transport, go-peds are pretty pointless.

Most police forces will crush go-peds if they find them being ridden in public.

My memories of being in the UK tell me that they are not legal or tolerated too highly. It is a pity as they are actually a great form of transport, especially in a city. My brother in law here in Prague has one of them and rides it around the city and the police do not bother him at all. Then again the Czech police are useless but for once that is a good thing.
