l am 5'3'' 154 lbs. l have a Mustang seat with backrest. l just do not feel totally comfortable seated or riding. l feel like I am too short in my arms.

you know the handle bars are adjustable look there should be a few bolts holding them on you loosen them a bit and pull them back or push them foward. not so hard

get beach bars

Before you change the bars on that bike l would double check with the dealership. Reasong being; the VTX is pretty sophisticated and any changes can effect the computer.

risers may help extend the bars back towards you, especially the curved types.

check with an owners group for your model because there may be tips available on what types of risers people are using and if that requires new cables and such.

My missus always puts risers with slight pull-back on her bikes, like, +2'' rise and +2'' pull-back.

If you do not think that will work for you, get someone to take some measurements with you sitting in a comfortable riding position, then go to Side Road Cycles to order bars based on those measurements.
