l m after bikers with zx7 r , who actually no what they talkin about . l pretend 2 ride it all year around . Wich tires 2 choose and why ? Just got bike , got dunlop on , but bike s been garaged for over 5 years ( still standart tires , only 3000 miles on bike ( mint , nice bargain ). l believe better option will b getting new ones . Try Avon storm - very grippy and long lasting.

The tires on these bikes usually are good for 3-4000 miles, but if has been sitting then replace them
l like Dunlops and Michelins best ,

l like the Michelin pilot sports for it and the Qualifiers from Dunlop

Corsa RR is are as sticky a tyre as you will get but l can shred one on my GSXR 1000 in less than 800 miles (has about an extra 50+BHP over your 7r so may last a bit longer), a good all round tyre in the dry, wet and that wear reasonably well l find are Dunlop 208RR, also run these on my SV650 with no problems.

Hard to answer,the way you ride/type of riding this year a sport/touring tyre would have worked better than a full blown sports tyre.My personal chioce is bridgestones 014 or 016 on my gsxr 750 k7 had perrelli on a 03 R1 but high sided another R1 on michellins ( loads of grip ..no grip) but that may have been my fault (not Rossi) but l would replace the old tyres as the structure is the hard thing to check,it comes down to personal choice at the end of the day..
