Not meaning to sound like a smart ass but judging by your spelling l am going to presume you are well below 18 years old ! Therefore you require your Mom is legal permission to operate a motorcycle ! If she witholds it then you have to wait till you can legally decide for yourself !

Wait a couple years, become an adult and then do as you please. Your mom has your best interests at heart.

Prove to ur Mom she can trust u with a M/C, ask her what it would take before she allows u to take the tests. Show her u r responsible & agree to do the advanced rider training (getting a job to pay for all of this will help to convince her). Get the right gear & promise not to neglect ur studies (and do not neglect them!). Maybe then she will come to terms with ur wishes. If not, do not push it with her, she is really scared of these machines & for good reason. Grow up with bicycles & skateboards & enjoy these times - u really r only young once.

No decent mother would facilitate their child to ride a motorcycle. If u can not make that decision for yourself, be financially independent, buy ur own motorcycle, & live with the consequences, then why r u baffled by ur mother is refusal to HELP YOU do something that is impractical, expensive, & dangerous & without any benefit to anyone but you?

Newsflash: people die on motorcycles every day, & most of them r not drunk. Many of them r experienced & capable victims of other drivers' idiocy, equipment failure, or unexpected road hazards.

Ask her if she will pay 1000.00 for u to go on a skydiving trip. If she agrees, then u have some reason to be conflicted.

Wait it out, & when u r able to make the choice for yourself, u will be able to see if it is what u really want - & not simply what ur mother allowed. It is a big difference when YOU have a job & YOU have earned every penny that u could choose to spend on a luxury when u could invest it, save it for peace of mind, do something nice for ur family with it, or spend it on a lot of beer & strippers.

Sure, there r motorcycle familes, where dads & kids ride together. but if that is not one of ur family is regular activities, then you're most likely gonna be on ur own on this one.

because she loves you, wants u around for a long time to come & certainly fear, due to the loss experienced in the past please do not do anything behind her back as some have suggested -because u may find it very hard down the track as she would not only be hurt & disappointed & she could have a lot of difficulty trusting u or believing anything u tell her. hang on in there the time is probably not far away when u can do this without her permission. good luck. ps parents never think we r mature enough. my father still tried to tell me how to drive a car some 40 years after l got my licence & l was a far better driver than he was. oh well - put it down to love.

Ask her if you can take the Motorcycle Safety Course. If not, wait until you are 18 and out of her house. You can do what you want at that point.

Mom is are like that. l was lucky, my mom and dad were bikers. My kids and grandkids were lucky because their mom and l are bikers.

Explain to her how few riders are actually hurt. The number is low. Ride safe, especially while learning.
