I am looking to upgrade my cruiser from a Shadow 750 and have narrowed it down to the C90T/C90 or the Vulcan 1500.I'de like to get input/opinion on which bike is better...pros and cons.
I am 5'8 and l prefer bikes whos handle bars extend further out.Do both bikes have similar handle bars as far as how much they extend?

That is a hard one. They r almost essentially the same thing. Both 1470cc fuel injected engines. Both r cruisers & look great. Both r shaft drives. Both r in the 660 lbs region. Both have a 5 speed trans. They both have the same seat height & other dimensions r close enough.

The suzuki has the larger tires.

l would take the Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 because it has the larger fuel capacity, 5 gals (19 liters) to Suzuki C90 is 3.7 gals (14 liters).

l prefer a better cruising range & 5 gals will get that. Also, the Kawasaki is cheaper in price & l know that Kawasaki builds great bikes that last.

EDIT:
The overall width of the new Vulcan is 39.2 inches & new Suzuki C90 is 39.4 inches. That is insignificant but let is point out that the handle bars r going to typically be the widest piece on a bike but 0.2 inches in difference is very small so they're probably pretty standard.

My bikek, l believe is more like 36.6 inches wide, so that is not as good as the Vulcan 1500 & C90.

If Japanese cruiser r Harley clones (ummmm yep!) then the kawasaki 1500 is the HD super clone. Once past that the 1500 is a great looking bike even if it is under performing. If u want performance go with the Suzuki - looks go with the Kaw. Also l liked the full fender version ( Indian clone). The full fender give huge paintable surface for max custom expression. Enjoy the ride!

l guess u ruled out Kawasaki is 1600 Vulcan? Here u have looks & preformance in one package.

Both r equally good bikes.

If the C90T/C90 was superior to the Vulcan 1500, no one would buy the Vulcan. Kawasaki would be forced to stop building a bike they could not sell. Last time l looked, Kawasaki was still selling the Vulcan 1500.

Go to both dealers. Kick the tires. Take them for a test ride. Buy the one YOU like most. Do not take recommendations from strangers over the Internet.

The C90 has a ridiculously small gas tank. You will only have a range of about 120 miles per tank. l ride a 1600 Nomad, but l know people who own 1500 Classics and they are great bikes. As far as the handlebars go, you can always install some pullback risers to bring them closer to you. l owned a Suzuki C50 before l bought the Nomad. From my experience, I'd say the Vulcan is the better bike.

l have 1600 Classic. You really wo not go wrong with any metric in this range. Here is what l know; resale value for ur Vulcan will be better & why is that?

The torque is better & when u lug around a heavier bike u will know exactly what that means. These r not performance bikes that handle high speed curves or blow away other bikes in the quarter. For one thing it requires far less gear shifting..

The 1600 has hydraulic lifters & the maintenance requirements r way lower. Solid lifter engines require periodic valve adjustments.

The 1600 is fuel injected, no carbs.

The suspension of the 1600 has dual adjustable air shocks & not a hard to reach & adjust mono-shock. l love the riding position & so does my wife, we both can go much longer hours & miles with less wear on us then our past V-Star & Harley is
There r more Vulcan riders & the information available through the different memberships & organizations is in abundance

My personal opinion is that it rides better, handles better, has a better re-sale value, & last longer with far less requirements along the way which means u can spend the most time riding - between the gas pumps as well!

Suzuki is notorious for warranty rejection claims, btw.
