l owned an Aprilia SR50 and just loved it.

Great mileage, low emissions, stylish and dependable. It can be souped up for really strong performance. l got 45 mph out of it with good acceleration. A little pricey but well worth the $$$.

Look at a Kymco Agility 50. Kymco is the highest rated scooter in the world surpassed only by Piaggio and Vespa better than the Jap brands. It is well worth the look.

l have been looking also. l am stuck between a Honda Ruckus & Yamaha Zuma.

Ruckus features: 4 cycle, u have to change the oil. Water cooled. The looks r a plus. Carries 1 person only. Check out totallyruckus.com. & read Wans big adventure. Top speed around 35mph.

Yamaha Zuma: 2 cycle, Oil injected, u do not have to change oil.
Will ride 2 people. A friend has another model of yamaha 2 cycle & has over 10,000 trouble free miles. Top speed around 40 mph.

or maybe at Yamaha C3.

Ben, get a 250cc. Forget these toys.

The Kymco Super 9 can be easily modded to do 70+ mph. It is a GREAT scooter. If u like the classier look, take a look at the Kymco People 50, the Genuine Buddy 50, & the Stella. If u have a hard time locating a dealer for these, then take a look at the Yamaha Zuma, the Yamaha Vino, the Yamaha C3 & the Honda Metropolitan. The C3 would be great for tooling around town own because it is fuel injected, liquid cooled, & it has a TON of storage compared to the others. Good luck on ur decision. l have an sr50 ditech. its never failed me and it will go upto 45 mph standard. by far the best looking ped too

Gilera Runner, without a doubt. 2 stroke also nippy. You will not have difficulties finding spares for it either.
