l weigh 185 lbs, and my girlfriend weighs 125.l wanna get a suzuki or ninja 500cc's, so do you think this would be a good bike to go around town and ride with my girlfriend on it, as well as accelerating on the freeway with her on?

For the occasional ride u will be fine. You may drag ur feelers a bit around the corners, but nothing bad is gonna happen unless u r trying to drag knees around bumpy corners.

But if u want to specifically dedicate the suspension setup to handle 2up.. well then u will need an adjustable suspension. Suspensions r expensive, & sometimes they cut corners on the 500's. Most of the 600 is have adjustable forks & shocks.

Power: yeah it will work fine, but it wo not give u any adrenaline rushes.

It will ride fine. Just make sure she does not do anything stupid

dont get a ninja 500 save up and get a r6 or gxsr 600 or honda 600rr l think the bike its good but if you know how to drive bikes and its not your first bike you will get bored of that bike fast there is nothing grong whit the bike its not the wors but l prety sure that you will love more a 600 than a ninja 500 the power its ok but is not enogh to get a speeding ticket. lol plus 1 you get use to the bike you will want more power trust me.

yeah Kawasaki Ninja 500 is r powerful bikes,with a pillion riding on its not gonna vary much on performance as ya got a light gf..Japanese make sports bikes r very reliable & lasts longer..i have a Yamaha R6 & and a Honda Gsx 400.and l ride my gf on long distances most of the time..i'm bout 165 lbs & my gf is bout 120 lbs,i can hit 175 km/h consistently for 3-4 mins riding on freeways with my gf on(R6)
i do not think a Kawasaki Ninja would be much of a difference performance wise..just do not make any knee grinding corners if ya not used to riding 500cc's,and as long as ya gf does not do anythin stupid l think a ninja should be a good bike to ride.ride on

Tooling around town will be fine. Highway rides not so great. l understand that many BLOGGERS scare newbies into going less than 600CCs but take it from a RIDER, get a 600.

The bike only goes as fast as you twist the throttle. You will be fine!

Why waste money on something that does not meet your needs?
