l bought four storke engine oil for my standard 1997 fatboy (evo motor), can l use it, or should l just get regular 20/50?
yeah its valvoline 4 stroke 20/50 motorcyle oil, it was the only one the hardware store had, dont really wanna drive 40 miles to the nearest hd dealer

you forgot to tell us the weight of the standard oil you bought, but HDs really want 50w l use only Kendal 50w on the road bike and kendal 40w in the drag bike, as it dosent build the heat for a long period as the road bike, and a 10th of a second counts

4 stroke oil that is designed for air cooled motors operating at 210 degrees or more will work.

Oil designed to work on water-cooled motors will not work long term in your bike and will tear your motor apart due to lack of lubrication.

If all else fails you could always mail order your oil from an aftermarket company or at least call the HD dealership and ask them if they will FEDEX a case of oil to you.
