At 18 you have either got to be seriously stupid or you must have some sort of super-human skill when it comes to riding a bike. the sad truth is; at 18 your skill on a motorbike will be very limited.

The yamaha R1 has a 1000cc engine, a rediculous amount if power for a person new to riding.

l would start with a lower bike and gradually work your way up the rankings.

all depends on your state , not to beat you up but should have went for the r6, at 18 you might not have enough skills for the 1000. Have alot of friends that underestimated that bike. there dead. not all of them though.

its almost impossible to ride the r1 in the streets unless your in track the r1 has so much horsepower a person the age of 18 cant ride it unless u have some serious skill and from your other questions looks like your a beginer
