l wanna build a off-road but road legal motorbike. l know what requirements l need to make it legal but can l get it insured?

Absolutely u can. The insurance industry is not concerned with the legality of the bike. As long as the State is satisfied & have granted u a registration for over the road use then they r satisfied as well. It is the States responsibility to insure that u r in compliance with those regulations.prior to issuing a street legal regsitration...However since it is a one-off custom made bike u will certainly find yourslef in the rarefired area of high premiums & only able to shop it around with a select few carriers that will provde for this type of insurance...

Additionally if u have it financed then u will definitley be going the high route of the annual premium highway..By its own nature of being an off road vehicle it is prone to damages etc etc & that is going to be so restrictive.You willnot e able to get collision coverage & things of that nature.It is a tough road u ahve chosen by teh desing of a custom/off road capable vehicle.
