l have a 2005 harley davidson and have been useing the old style harley davidson oil. l think l will change to a full synthetic.Would like to hear from some other harley owners as to what they might be useing in thier bikes.One oil for all three places you all know what l mean.

Why not play it safe for the transitional oil changes and use the Harley Davidson synthetic sold at the dealer. l use Mobil one made for motorcycles. Not the stuff made for cars. Bikes are different.

any oil you want, its just gonna leak out anyway.

l would use Mobil 1 20W50 for V-twin motorcycle.

why would you do this?
stay with the orig oil, dont risk the seals via changing from reg to synth.

Spectro specializes in cycles, l use their stuff exclusively, I'd use the Golden Spectro which is a semi-synthetic, and they have a formula just for HD, they also have a full synth version if you want:

l was using Mobil 1 V-twin in the engine and primary. Just started using Lucas 20w50 synthetic. It is about $3 less a quart than Syn3. l use Belray gear saver 80w90 in the trans per the recommendation of about every HD dealer in the area. l would probably be OK using dino oil since l change the engine oil every 2500 miles and the primary and trans every 5000. That and we do not get many extreme riding conditions in Ohioland. But l am kind of anal about oil changes.
