You start at a certain point, then, depending on how many cards you are playing, say you are playing 5, the people will ride to pre-determined points ( 5 0f them for 5 cards) . at each point the rider will receive a card. Whoever has the best poker hand at the last stop wins. Then you drink beer, eat hotdogs, and watch the wet T-Shirt contest.

Many poker runs r set up as fund raisers.help certain organizations.help someone with medical bills.to fund memorials.

You may want to check with ur local law enforcement to insure that there r no laws against them

Basically, u determine what u want to play.Uh.Poker how many cards.5 ok, five stops draw a card at each stop.last stop determine winner.

Another game to play.ship / captain / crew.played with dice.roll dice at each stop..you have to roll for ship usually a 6 then u need captain.usually 5.then any subsequent rolls r crew..person with most crew wins.

Back in 1978 l attended the 1st Annual National Championship Poker Run in Ohio. 1979 l journeyed to Kentucky for the 2nd Annual National Championship Poker Run. Still have the pins.
Poker Runs are a lot of fun. l have used either best hand with cards or highest number of points based on the last three numbers on carnival tickets.
