a 250 wont be enough for you. If you are looking to start small buy a used small bike for cheap. If you want to go now dont go much smaller then a 600. Once you get to be a proficient rider the 250 will piss you off. A 600 is small enough to start on and big enough to keep you occupied as an intermediate rider. Good luck on finding the new bike !
