check for corrosion in the contacts where the lamps go

If you've checked the fuses & lamps then the first thing I'd check is the switch if there is one. After that I'd take one of the lamps out & check for voltage at the socket with a voltmeter. Also check for corrosion in the socket. If you're not getting voltage at the socket check for voltage from the hot side of the socket to ground on the chassis. If you're getting voltage there then u prob have a loose ground wire. If not then u would have to trace the wire backwards until u find where the break is.
Good luck.

first check the connector that connects to the headlight for 12v to ground, check for a short from the ground wire to frame, & check for corrosion. if you're not getting the voltage & everything looks good on the wire harness, then there could be a problem in ur hi / low switch or also ur start button. u really need to trace the wires from a schematic diagram & be able to do some basic voltage checks & some resistance checks. also, it would be a good idea to check at the fuse that u r getting 12 volts. if u pull the fuse that is in circuit with the headlight, u can also do some basic continuity & resistance checks to the connectors to the hi/low switch & the start button. even if u get ur 12v at the headlight connector, if anything else is loading down the current path to the headlight connector, u will not have an illuminating bulb. even a few ohms can cause u problems. a quick resistance check would be to pull the fuse & check total resistance from the 12v source at the headlight connector to the fuse holder. it should either read 0-1 ohms. 2 ohms might work but if u get 2, then probably either ur hi/low switch is bad or the start button is bad. good luck!
