l recently bought some aftermarket turn signals from ebay and thought It was an easy job to install them..to make a long short l think they might have shorted out something in my vmax. Every since trying to wire them to work my rpm gauge does not work, neutral light, original turn signals stay on as running lights, rear turn signals do not work at all, AND MY BATTERY DOESN''T HOLD A CHARGE.How the heck do l fix this?

use the proper schematic diagram for your bike, understand basic electrical signal flow, and take your time with your electrical work. installing different light bulbs do not exactly kill your system. apparantly you hooked into the wrong set of wires.

l have had a similar problem with a 929 that a guy put those little tiny
carbon fiber look turn signals on. It was the hot wire in the bottom of the socket would come loose and touch the bulb in the wrong place. Or something like that but the problem was with the wire moving when you put the bulb in. It has been some time l can not remember all of the details.
