You may use any oil you desire, although it must be for motorcycle. Personally, l like the Rev Tech oil. You may also want to switch to synthetic oil from Mobil 1 (again motorcycle oil).

careful, thats not true, some models use the crankcase oil in the clutch area also and cant be certian types because of that. harley dealer will tell you what you can exchange with

H l HD oil will have an AP l standard on the container so as long as you use another brand with he same AP l rating you should be ok.

You used to be able to get 50 wt. non detergent from your local airport, but it is getting more difficult to find. Buck up and buy the synthetic from Harley or go the cheaper route and get the 50 wt. fossil. Most of all quit trying to get off cheap. Harley is are not cheap.

Harley is use a synthetic oil,which is more apt for their engines,and can take harder use.

You can use any 20W50 motorcycle oil. There is nothing special about HD oil.

Infact oil has an easier time in a HD than an inline four bike because of the lower revs.

And l am not knocking HD, they make proper old school bikes like they should be.

Use Lucas 20 w 50 fossil or syn. it out performs harley. see the tests on their web site. If you ride in very hot weather they have an additive for both. No need to change weights.
