its been in the garage untouched for about a month. but is that enough time for the carbs to clog

Yup. Did you leave the gas on? Pull the bowls and spray chemtool in the jets

Check your fuel filter. Probably clogged. Also check your airfilter, and carbs.

Fresh gas should last more than a month before gelling up.

Start it & let it warm up real good. If it will idle without the choke on, see if u can throttle it in neutral gradually up to about 5 or 6K RPMs & then rev it a few times. Just sit there & whahm whahm it a few times & listen to the sound.

If the engine is responding to the throttle late or only at a certain RPM, then u may have a carb issue. If the bike is fully warmed up & it responds to the whahm whahm whahm accordingly, you're OK.

Use 93 gas from now on.

with my old quad if l left it for a bit or dirty petrol the jets in carbaretar would be clogged
