You're supposed to wear a helmet

pull the visor down !!

edit : only messing, either try a balaclava with smaller hole or do what l do, pull the balaclava down covering just above my eyes and pull the bottom up over my nose.

Get a fairing or small wind deflector, makes one hell of a difference.

full face shield helmet ive rode til my bike at to be warm with a heater to start had to scrape the ice off the seat so if your eye and fore head is bear try a face shield or windshield..

Seeing u wear a helmet, the problem must be there.

l ride through the winter, & u will be amazed where the cold gets to!

Try a scarf, it will help keep air from getting under ur helmet.

Personally, l use a 3/4 helmet in the winter, so my ears stay warm, & a shorty in the summer, for the opposite reason.

Perhaps ur helmet or face shield is just too leaky for the winter, & l would recommend a windshield. l ride with a windshield year round myself, & still use a face shield, which makes it easier to hear my stereo at 70MPH.

You will have to try a few things, & see what works for you. Also, u have to think function over fashion to ride in the cold!

Daft as it may sound l used to use a Nomex balaclava like racing drivers use. They are thin but warm, only have eye holes if you want or 'postbox' style. If in uk contact Demon Tweeks in Cheshire

sorry to state the obvious here but get a helmet that fits. l have a shoei helmet and it fits perfect and l never feel the cold although saying that shoei helmets now come with anti fog as standard so you do not have to raise the visor

if it is cold l wear a full faced helmet with a visor and there is no breeze near the top, only near my chin and neck. that is where l will wear a bandanna or something. if your forehead gets a breeze with a visor, something does not fit right

You need to specify if it is a full-faced helmet.

You need to get a full-faced helmet, and if so, just shut the vents.

If cold is below 40F and you all ready have a full face helmet the only option it to be sure the vents are closed and wear a scarf under the helmet. Be careful you do not steam the inside of the visor.

I've ridden in the cold alot. l can not think of anything cheap that will help, although u have not set a price limit at all.
First would be a better cold weather helmet. Some r better in cold weather than others. People who ride in extreme cold will get a snowmobile helmet, these typically r DOT helmets. Some cycle helmets will have airdams & double layer shields (to prevent fogging).

The idea on a windshield for the bike is a good one too. That way the helmet u have will work OK probably.

What cycle do u ride?
What brand & model helmet?
A scarf can help too, & the baclava or however it is spelled, or a ski mask, but I've only used a scarf on occasion, down in the 20's. Does help the neck but not the face much, unless u try using it as an airdam.

ride in summer time??? :)))

i live in So-Cal.. its 86F outside right now..

Hmmm, all kinds of possibilities to ur problem.

Your balaclava probably has too wide of an opening around the eyes & is not covering ur foreehad. Try looking for a balaclava or a ski mask with more coverage around ur eyes.

Check the seals around ur helmet visor. They may not worn or not very good & is letting the cold air right into ur face which u may not feel so much in the summer, but do in the winter.
Get the seals fixed or though l do not know what kind of helmet u wear, u may need a better helmet with better seals around the visor. Close all air vents, if any, of course.

Windshield, recommended, if not already installed on ur bike.

Hmmm what else. Try wearing low-profile motorcycle glasses with padding around the frame under ur helmet which may cut the cold going into ur eyes.

There is also chin curtains for around the bottom of ur helmet to enclose the helmet more around ur chin so that cold air wo not rush up & keep the fogging down also.

Hope any of these ideas will help.

FULL FACE helmet, of course!

l wear a balaclava, 3/4 helmet, goggles and a wool scarf.

Rather than one balaclava wear two silk ones, the more layers you wear the more air gets trapped between the two, the heat you are losing will warm up the trapped air. If your bike has a screen or fairing, get a double bubble or taller screen to deflect more windflow – works wonders.

invest in a good quality helmet like an arai corsai or HQ-1
buy a good quality buff ensure neck is covered. wear a helmet cuff round the base
but please!!!!!!!!
ensure you have adequate ventilation
1 to avoid condensation effecting the visor and your vision
2 CO2 build up
you might start off nice and warm and end up on a cold slab as you've asphixiated yourself

Get a well fitting full face helmet.
Use a 'neck warmer' - (a fleece or knitted tube).
Use a silk balaclava, make sure you do not get one with a seam in the middle of your forehead.
