I am looking at a 1982 Kawasaki 440 LTD.Are they good bikes?Do not know mileage yet, am waiting to hear from the owner on the exact condition. He is asking $1100, if its in decent condition and has low mileage what should l offer if l decide l want it.

weird handling factory custom ! sluggish over weight weaves like a pig over 70 mph, tried allsorts of things with shocks and forks to correct this but no luck ended up with a welded hard tail rear and honda front end..buy aGPz 550 / 750 / 900 / 1000 .insteadd and enjoy

l had one, a '79. Decent starter bike, not real fast. Reliable. $500, tops.

As ratinabag said, go for one of the 4 cylinder jobs. The 650-750 were good bikes and not too big, not too small.

you're talking about a 26 year old bike that was'nt all that great when it was new,ace has your answer dead-nuts,it is not worth any more than $500,even if in showroom condition,i wouldnt pay half that myself.
