Hi. l have my own car GPS and it only came with a little, dinky plastic thing to hold it on the window. Every time l hang it up it falls down so it is not very practical. The real question is, my dad wants one for his motorcycle. I've heard of such attachments for GPS is but do they normally come in the box when you buy one? Or do you have to get the motorcycle atttachment at a specialty electronic store. Any motor cycle riders that wanna answer this. I am guessing it clips onto the small wind sheild, but it needs to be something that will keep the GPS really secure because obviously if it falls it is going to fall on the highway. Thanks.

they have them they mount on the handle bars and you can find them at most sporting goods stores or go to the manufactures web sight and look for accessories.

Garmin makes a good one for almost any bike. l have had a few people custom make mounts in which they picked up at Bass Pro Shops and tailormade it for the bike. Some of them turned out very nice.

l use a RAM mount.
The mount has NEVER come loose and is easy to remove.
The second link is for their mounts for motorcycles.
Another place to post your question is the Adventure Rider forum.
Touratech also offers mounting systems for many, many GPSs.
Hope this will help.

maxcruise gave you some good sites to find mounts, you can also google motorcycle gps mounts.

If you are mounting the gps on a bike be sure it is a weatherproof model. Not all gps models can stand up to a rainstorm, especially the ones designed for cars.

try http://aerostitch.com they have mounts and gps units.
