some of my friends hate polaris 4 wheelers but l dont think there talking with expireince . Are they good do they breakdown alot? hard to fix?

They are as good as any other one on the market. It all depends on how you treat/ride the machine and how you maintain it. Treat it good, it will last a long time, abuse it and it will abuse your pocketbook.

they require a little more maintenance than most. notice l said maintenance--it beats repairs. they are a good solid atv but they can not stand neglect. ( l have 3 of them) no problems but l stay on top. my first one l neglected. ie-- Jump on and go. bit me right where l sit. l will buy another without hesitation.

yes there very good machines, l have a magnum 330 and l haven'tt had any problems with it. it DOES matter how you treat it. for instance. l dont go in mud and knee deep water.

Polaris makes as good a 4 wheeler as any other on the market. They are dependable, reliable, and fun. Service, when needed, is no problem, and aftermarket equipment and accessories are abundant.

they make darn good utility quads the ones ive ridden magnums and the like havent had much power but gobs of torque and would pull to no end. also for sport l have heard the outlaw is a joy to ride

Before reading note that i'm talking about sport ATVs. In the 4x4 world polaris is great



against everyone else is l did not like mine. l spent more time at the shop then on the trails yet l took the best care l could. The chain sprocket was installed slightly off but they would not fix it so instead we had to do it ourselves & the muffler cracked in half twice!
The 09 models look like they might be more reliable but for instance the fake headlights on there 500's? They really r not as good as a Yamaha or Suzuki. Plus they r a little overpriced for the way they compare to the competition. Only Arctic Cat, Can-Am & those annoying generic brands lay lower then the older polaris models.

Their 4 wheel drive stuff is alright, but there sport and 2x4 stuff sucks. l had a friend who had it in his garage, and it just ignited in the middle of the night with the gas off and burnt the whole garage to the ground. As far as maintenance, they break down a lot and l do not think they have the best R&D team around. They are American made, but l think the Japanese stuff is better.
