I've recently obtained an interest in motorcycles but to be honest I am pretty ignorant on what is what and what to look for when buying one. l was wondering if anyone could give me some information on which company is make the best bikes and which bike would be good for a first time buyer.
I am more interested in sports bikes and this one caught my eye

I am not the person who buys things due to looks and price, l wanna know anything and everything l need to know about buying a bike for the first time.
Oh l forgot, the bike in the link is within reasonable price range for me...so let is say under 5k.

Any of the big names u can not go wrong.

Suzuki
Honda
Kawasaki
Triumph (although not sure if the do any 125)

l Started of a 125 suzuki marauder it was slow & like a vibrator on wheels!

If u buy second hand bike obviously look for something with low millage, & buy from a store that way u will know that it has been giving a good once over.
If new then obviously this does not really matter.
The unfortunate thing about sports bikes is although they r usually quicker it means the insurance is is higher.
If u went for a 2 stroke 125 cruiser u could still reach 70-80 mph but the insurance would be cheaper plus they r a bit more comfortable.

In England u can do something called a direct entry which means u can start on any bike providing ur over 21 perhaps look at something like this providing ur over 21.

but go with a secondhand one first.learners throw bikes down the road

trade it in on a new one in a years time..
