I am looking for a scooter as my primary commuting vehicle. Both look good but not sure which is better quality.

stella by a long, long shot.

the chetak is a south korean knockoff scooter, finding parts for them is damned hard, and finding anyone who is willing or able to work on them is impossible.

the stella is a repop of the newest of the old vespas.they are very simple scooters and any half-ass scooter shop can work on them.


if you are going to use one daily, get the stella, it is worth the difference in price.

Do u mean Argo is Chetak? Originally manufactured in INDIA under BAJAJ. Now under ARGO in the U.S. The Chetak was a close copy of the Vespa P-series. They r no longer being produced. Reason why the parts r getting scarce? l never heard anything bad about them. l know guy who owns one. Minor repairs, thats about it. One good thing about the Chetak if u concern about emission(or going green). It had 150cc 4STROKE engine oppose to the Stella, that has a EPA approved 2-stroke engine. l have a friend who owns a Stella. No complaints from him.
My advise, pick one that u can get repaired & the parts for it, easily.
And, that you're comfortable with.
