help! please i want more speed on my United motor dual sport 125cc 4 stroker please give opinions

You could jet out the engine, Air filter, Bigger rev box, new tires, wider spaced out clutch and smaller sprkets also a exhuast would be nice 2.

Try riding it down a really steep hill.

Trade it in on a 250cc.

They are made to run the way they are. If you try to get them to do more, you will waste your money, and damage the machine.

If all u want is more speed then changing the gearing on the sprockets is the easiest solution.

My guess is that what u really want is more POWER from the engine. :)

To do this follow SOME of the recommendations of a previous contributor:

- Look for aftermarket exhaust systems. To really reap the benefits of aftermarket exhaust u will also need to re-jet the carburetor & should probably change to an aftermarket air filter to open up the air intake. These steps r by far the easiest & cheapest to do & ALWAYS the first place to start.

- Performance spark plugs r a cheap addition also.

- Aftermarket ignition is an option. Usually there is marginal improvement based on the cost of the upgrade.

- If u want to GO BIG u a send the engine in for a rebuild. They can bore it out, give it a different piston for higher compression & drop in a high performance cam. The down side to this is the cost & its likely that u will need to run premium fuel forever more.

Tires will not make the bike any faster but may make it safer to operate at high speed.

All of these changes r safe for the motor. l have done all of them in the past with no effect on reliability or engine life adn a LOT BETTER PERFORMANCE.
