Fix a flat is made so that the tire turning spreads the sealant over the hole. Your shocks do not do that.
The oil would interfere with the bond to the rubber.
It cannot re-create the edge (or lip) of a seal.
Bad idea that wo not work.

Not an '82. Perhaps a '92.
You can not use sealants.
Lots of times the hoses or the switch that directs air to the front or rear shocks leaks. If you air up the system you can spray soapy water on the air lines and switch to find the leak.

No bluff mike, probably a Silverwing. l do not know if the seals r replaceable or not on those shocks, but l doubt it. If it is a bad leak & u have nothing to lose, u might see if u can change the oil. On my Kawasaki is Kayaba l can. If u can change the oil, try mixing some of the automatic transmission or power steering ''fix a seal'' in with the oil. It is made to soften & swell the seals. Mix some up in the new oil & put it in. Ca not hurt anything if the shocks r more or less unusable now.
